Thank you to all of you who supported me throughout my campaign last year. I knocked on more than 1000 doors and met more than 800 people face to face. It was a cold, icy winter! Nonetheless, I truly enjoyed meeting everyone and especially appreciated those who invited me in to warm up while we shared ideas and opinions about our community.

Ideas remained consistent. You wanted a better lifestyle and a safe, attractive community. These were the top concerns and issues:

  • You want to know that your family members are safe when they venture beyond the security of your own home.
  • You need solutions to fast traffic in residential zones.
  • You want your taxes to decrease and your tax dollars used wisely.
  • You would like to support our local economy by spending your money in Franklin at restaurants and events like those found in the Milwaukee area.
  • You want to live in a city that feels like a community rather than a series of disconnected neighborhoods.
  • You are generally in favor of trails systems and  walkable neighborhoods.
  • You enjoy and want to protect our city's rural feel using sensitive, well-planned development that considers the economic and aesthetic benefits of our natural resources.
  • The vast majority wanted Sycamore Street vacated and Hillendale to remain a walking  path for school children.

While in office as your elected official, I will work hard for you. I look forward to listening to your concerns and sharing ideas to forge a community we can be proud of.

Making Franklin the community of choice in the greater Milwaukee area is an exciting vision that can be achieved with your participation.
