I will be a stronger voice for the taxpaying citizens.

Over the past eight years of my volunteer work in the City, I have not been intimidated by the Council or the special interest groups that bring their business before the City.  I am not afraid to speak up when I see corners cut and citizen input ignored. Recently, speaking up has not been enough, and often the recommendations of professionals and volunteers on our commissions are not considered. Special interest goals have become entrenched within the Council and it is time for a change!

Council action should be more than having all the YES votes.  Healthy and constructive review of business that is taking place in our City can assure we are not missing important points that could have a long-term, irreversible effects on our quality of life.

As your representative, I want to know what is important to YOU. I will push for improved public input earlier in the process. At the same time, approval of requests by homeowners and small businesses need to be made easier to relieve hardships and lessen financial burdens when appropriate.

I will work hard to find solutions that will be fair, upfront and public. I won't just play the role of a practiced listener. I will be your voice before the Council. I will see that we are frugal with your funds while working to keep Franklin safe and a place you can be proud to call home.

It is time for a voice with a vote that will represent the taxpayers' concerns and desires.
